Charley Hale is a seasoned industrial distribution executive with over 18 years of experience at FCX Performance, a $350M super-regional leader in the special flow control distribution market. Most recently, he led the business as President and CEO, after previously serving as CFO for nearly 13 years. He currently serves as Chairman of Liquid Technologies, Inc. and is on the Board of Test Equity, Inc.
During his FCX tenure, Charley was the architect of an aggressive M&A strategy. He was actively involved in the identification, negotiation, closing and integration of 25 acquisitions supporting the company’s growth from a $15-million regional distributor to a more than $350-million business with near-national market coverage. During this time, he negotiated numerous debt and equity agreements, including leading six change-of-control transactions, to fund the company’s aggressive acquisition and internal growth initiatives.
While at FCX, Charley implemented transformational operating changes focused on supplier development, organic sales growth and profit improvement initiatives. Charley has a track record of creating value through a number of playbooks including strategic and financial planning, acquisitions/integrations, operational improvements and organization development.
Prior to joining FCX, Charley was a commercial and investment banker with Bank One, Mitsubishi Bank and Fifth Third Bank where he held various management and corporate finance positions.
